With the help of our backers, we were able to bring in a team of publishing gurus to transform our manuscript into a polished final book. Deb Tremper of Six Penny Graphics oversaw the process. What an amazing person — a consummate professional. We highly recommend her to anyone with an indie book to publish.
So what does this all mean? It means we're gearing up to start shipping books to Kickstarter backers, as well as fulfilling other rewards such as the download of our album, Songs for Celebrating Brit Shalom. As we promised, copies of the book will go to our Kickstarter backers well in advance of our official publication date.
Some may wonder: why not officially publish right away, as soon as the book is ready? The reason is that pre-publication is a critical time in the life of a book, and we want to make the most of it.
The good news is that our Kickstarter backers won't have to wait for their book—so if you are a backer, please stay tuned. We'll be sending you a survey shortly (if you haven't already gotten one) which will help us to send out your rewards. When you do see that survey in your inbox, be sure to fill it out right away.
